SOLD OUT: Seeing is Everything: Workshop with Spring Resident Ellen Mansfield (3/9)

Join 2024 Spring Resident Ellen Mansfield on March 9, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the James Castle House for her drawing and painting workshop “Seeing is Everything”.

Ellen will first offer a brief introduction to her creative practice and the art style of De’VIA (Deaf View/Image Art). Then, participants will explore the importance of using their peripheral vision through a series of drawing and painting exercises to explore a 360-degree viewpoint and gain new perspectives when creating art.

This free workshop will be presented in American Sign Language (ASL) with voiced interpretation available. Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals are strongly encouraged to register.

All materials are provided and no previous experience is required. As this workshop includes paint, please wear clothing that is appropriate for this activity. Space is limited, so please register to attend HERE.
