Inside the Studio with Clare Johnson (9/30)

Join us at the James Castle House for Inside the Studio, an intimate studio visit with Fall 2023 Resident Clare Johnson Dig deep into Johnson's creative practice, see the work she's created while on-site, and learn more about her experience at the James Castle House.  

Clare Johnson (she/they) is a visual artist and writer originally from Seattle, Washington. Her work, ranging from dip pen drawing to poetry, explores concepts of memory, history, and loss. She holds degrees from Brown University and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. As a teacher, she founded creative writing classes at Lauderdale House and at Cambridge University's Kettle's Yard, also teaching at Momentum Arts in Cambridge, Richard Hugo House, and Thrive Art School in Seattle.
